Description

Hello! We are 'bangul bangul' (drop drop)! Nice to meet you!
Our team consists of three friends - Minchae, Heejin and Eliane - who came together to create a meaningful performance especially for the Sing Sing Arirang contest.
We decided to cover a very special version of Arirang: 'Holo Arirang', also known as 'Arirang alone'.
We are especially proud of this project because we tried to make everything ourselves. Minchae made the instrumental version and helped us record the vocal. Then she also edited the music and made it into one wholesome song. We talked together about what "arirang" symbolizes for each of us, and added that to the lyrics.
Heejin and Eliane made a choreography and then performed under water. Our first attempt at an outdoor location failed because the water was too cold for us to perform. We tried a second time in the aquarium. Even though we did not have any time to practice under water, we tried our best to express the deep emotions we felt while listening to the music.
Our friend Seokhoon helped us film all the footage under water.
Finally Eliane edited all the video material and added the subtitles in Korean and English.

Even though none of us are professional producers, videographers, or editors, we tried our best to create a beautiful video. We really hope you enjoy it!
"Drop drop" refers to teardrops that can fall when you are sad, but also when you are happy. It also refers to the water in which we perform, and the water that surrounds the beautiful Korean peninsula.
