Description
Best-known in later years as “Original Dixieland One-Step,” this famous recording (with “Livery Stable Blues” on the other side https://youtu.be/vJpN8Bmctf8 ) was the first Victor release by Nick LaRocca’s group. Following a copyright lawsuit in response to the unacknowledged inclusion in this track of a strain from Joe Jordan’s 1909 song “That Teasin’ Rag,” second pressings showed the title change to: Dixie Jass Band One-Step (Introducing “That Teasin’ Rag”).
Transferred from Victor 18255 - Dixieland Jass Band One-Step “Composed and played by Original Dixieland ‘Jass’ Band,” recorded in NYC February 26, 1917
