First previewed by Steve on Saturday Night Live (see video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FYbavuReVF4 ), this million-selling single paid novel tribute to the Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun, released while the Treasures Of Tutankhamun traveling exhibit was touring American cities. “King Tut” featured members of The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band as the “Toot Uncommons” backup group and was later included on the double platinum LP “A Wild And Crazy Guy.”
