Description
While this nationally-charted vocal version was the first one recorded, it was Anthony’s instrumental remake of "Bunny Hop" recorded six months later https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28Ao4NL5ai0 that was released on the flip side of "Hokey Pokey" in the spring of '53. And that instrumental remained the only commonly-available reissue version for decades thereafter.
Billboard Peak: 13 (radio airplay chart)
The original single was issued on Capitol 2251 - Bunny Hop (Ray Anthony-Leonard Auletti) by Ray Anthony & his Orchestra, vocal by Tommy Mercer & Marcie Miller, recorded September 3, 1952
