Welsh rocker Edmunds took this one to #11 on the UK charts in the autumn of ’79…more than a year before Juice Newton recorded her million-selling country-pop hit (listen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDpNPb6jmxc ). Dave’s track, included in the LP “Repeat When Necessary,” was also issued as a single in the U.S. but failed to register on the national charts.
