4. Action: “I’ve started recovery.” Actively making changes e.g., therapy or detox.
5. Maintenance : “I’m staying clean.” Maintaining sobriety. Avoiding triggers, building new habits.
6. Relapse : “I slipped…” Return to substance use. Part of the process. The key is to recover again.
7.Crisis/Rock Bottom : “I can’t live like this…” Emotional or physical collapse triggering change.
8. Termination :“Drugs are no longer a part of my life.” No cravings, full recovery. Rare but ideal.
