Abadi Al-Johar is a Saudi composer and singer and one of the most prominent Khaleeji singers of all times. He has been called the "Oud Octopus" akin to the dexterity and skill with which he plays the oud, creating an Arabian atmosphere effortlessly as he strikes the cords of his beloved musical instrument.
This song is one of the most heard Khaleeji song throughout the Arab pan region, and it's one of my absolute favorite Arabic songs. Abadi sings about an unrequited love and of his dispute with the people who urge him to abandon this love.
