Lapha KwaZulu means ‘things are happening’ and is about
communal living and daily life on a traditional homestead in
rural KwaZulu-Natal. People from rural areas of KZN are less
fortunate than most. Some of them still don’t have electricity
or proper toilets, which is why this song says: abanye debase
bayitholimpucuko think sisadla ngoludala – ‘people who live
in the suburbs have everything, and we are still struggling’.
