For their tenth album, the Australian duo opted for a Christmas one; calling it simple, “The Christmas Album”. It was a mixture of standards such as “Sleigh Ride”, Winter Wonderland” and “White Christmas” and a couple of originals written by group member, Graham Russell.

From their beginnings in Melbourne in the mid-70s, Air Supply went on to have six US hit albums and eight US Top-10 singles, with “The One That You Love” going to #1 in 1981. Their success in Australia was a little more subdued, especially with respect to the chart positions of their singles and only two of their 80’s singles charted in the UK.

Arranger John D’Andrea had been very active in the 70s, arranging hits for the Raiders, Mark Lindsay, Leif Garrett and Shaun Cassidy. As an artist, he released such titles as “My Fool Of A Heart” and “Look In My Eyes Maria” in the mid-60s.
