This video is the story of one of my first days in LA. I hadn't had any plans to live here at the time. I was just hoping to find anyone that was willing to take me in. One of those first people that looked out for me was @_astronautica. I told her I was in town for a week and was looking to shoot. And without hesitation, she accepted. .

We had nothing planned. I felt fresh and confident coming to a new place and was just so eager to create. I knew nothing, but I was down for anything. Edrina welcomed that energy and made me feel safe to be imaginative. Looking back, I had no idea how important that was for me. .

In the video, the bouquet of flowers that Edrina is holding we actually bought while driving from a lady selling flowers off the side of the highway. The kids dancing at the end were complete strangers that asked to be a part of the video. The things that happened in this video we felt as though a divine force or something else was guiding us. We couldn't have scripted this more perfectly. .

This video represented for me the moment when I felt that I was meant to be here as though something magical was happening. The energy we experienced making this video was so pure, genuine and spontaneous, something that just can't be recreated by just anything. I felt that the positive energy I had always tried to offer to my surroundings was finally being wholly reciprocated. .

If I could say to the youth anything, it's to have faith in yourself to jump into the unknown. Find life outside of your immediate realm and reach as high as you can. Fight for who you truly are and trust that there are people around you who will help you get there. .
