Australia has joined nations from around the world calling on Israel to allow aid into Gaza.
Foreign Minister Penny Wong and leaders from 23 other countries, including Britain, Canada, France and Japan, have signed the joint statement.
The statement calls for a “flood of aid” to be allowed into the strip and for the UN and other NGOs to be given large-scale access into Gaza.
According to the Gaza Health Ministry, more than 200 people have died of starvation, a figure which is supported by the United Nations.
