Description
Freda Payne's big hit from the early Seventies ( a UK #1 for her and a #3 hit in the USA back in 1970 In Britain, it held the top spot for six weeks.). It's a great sing-along number, so I just had to include the lyrics! Freda was very reluctant to record the song, believing that the lyrics suited somebody younger and had to be talked into it. Another little factoid for you here: the backing singers went on to become "Dawn" - the girls who backed Tony Orlando on his hit records.
