Lyrics -

Baawariya thaaro beej boyo, aambo nahi phale heero jaiso maan khyo, jo pathar mein milyo
(One cannot reap mangoes by sowing a seed of “bawariya”(a tree with lots of thorns, considered worthless) tree, Similarly, a diamond will be a common stone without its qualities.(Here a human is compared to a diamond, a human without humanity is worthless)

Maan khero laavo leeje, mili nahi baaram-baar
(Life as a human is precious and one should use it to the fullest, as “life as a human” is not granted again and again)

Kesaran kasturi moorkh tel saun tale
(A foolish person fries precious things like kesar(saffron) and kasturi(musk) in oil)

Moti jaisa daana, moorkh gharti saun dade
(He grinds a pearl, in the machine, just like common grain, here, the poet wants to explain how humans use and exploit things without realizing their true worth)

Maan khero laavo leeje, mili nahi baaram-baar tode tade harniyon, khet ma chare,
(A group of deers should be kept protected while grazing in a field)

Paara Dheere paune padhio, to cheere loon bhare
(If one wanders alone, it is killed)

Maan khero laavo leeje, mili nahi baaram-baar bichori jhaad nahi jaane, sarpho so ade
(If one doesn’t even know how to cure scorpion bites, how would he face snakes? )

Tulso jyotishi boleya, jamri phaans tade
(Yamdoot takes one’s life by strangling his neck, Says Tulso, the fortune-teller “Jyotishi” )
Maan khero laavo leeje, mili nahi baaram-baar
