Description
It’s Fiddle Tune Friday. Good morning! Have a cup of coffee … or three. The tune is “Beaumont Rag,” author unknown, but I am attempting Bryan Sutton’s arrangement. Too much coffee is necessary when trying to tackle this one. Ha! Don’t be too impressed, this was my 49th attempt; 48 previous false starts and kaflooeys preceded this one and have been deleted from the smart phone to free up space. This process can lead to bad habits. Playing this in front of people, I would just laugh-off any mistake, (even a whizbanger of an egregious foozler) and just plow right on, but for some reason the obsessive compulsive Brian can’t stand a blatant error to be immortalized on a video, so I press stop and hit record again, and again, and again, and you can just imagine how by the thirtieth or thirty-first go-round, what colorful language is getting captured on some of these videos. Maybe I should compile a blooper reel. As far as I know, there are no lyrics, but the strings are singin’. I swear, I didn’t think I was playing it this fast, all hail the powerful deceptions of caffeine! (Oh, don’t worry, there are plenty of little goof-ups sprinkled all through this, but they slipped past ‘quality-control.’ lol. Hope to see you again tomorrow. Thanks for watching and listening. Be well. Be you.
