In this video, you will learn to play the classic fiddle tune “Beaumont Rag.”

Originally played in the key of F by fiddlers, this tune is now usually played in the key of D and is well known in for its use of crosspicking in the B section.

Before diving into the tune, Hayes shows you how to apply alternate picking to the A part melody, then demonstrates how to attack this signature crosspicking pattern with two different right hand approaches: “Shuffler-style” economy picking and Alternate Picking.
