This is Green's Second solo off "Blues For Willarene" - From the 1961 album "Grant's First Stand."

Green's second solo is a contrasting monologue to his opening solo. Don't let these repetitive phrases fool you. Green has a remarkable ability to hold the listeners attention by commencing with a use of a repetitively simple blues "licks." He employs these rhythmically charged riffs and patterns in a manner of call & response. As the solo further evolves, we can hear an example of some 5 note ascending and descending patterns that are musically repurposed over chromatically descending turnarounds. This leads into chaotic legato flurries that are continually restated and maintained as a build up to Green's usual grand conclusion.
