Description

The late Bob Welch had been a significant member of iconic band Fleetwood Mac before his solo hits of 1977-1980. 'Ebony Eyes' is probably the track he is best known for; it being a worldwide smash for the guitarist/vocalist/songwriter. The song was lifted from his debut solo LP 'French Kiss' released in late 1977. In Australia, 'Ebony Eyes' went all the way to #2 and spent 3 months in the Top 10. In America he scored a Top 15 with it, and a Top 10 with 'Sentimental Lady'. He returned to the world charts the next year with 'Precious Love'. He continued to produce solo LP's into the 80's with little success.

The tragic musician killed himself in June of 2012.
His music, thankfully lives on, and those great guitar intros and riffs.
