Thanks to romamista_bl for their reply to this posting, which included the following information:
Lyrics:
Hh Johnny ma cabrille, fus pas mal,
Oh bye catin, fus pas mal,
Oh bye mon neg, fus pas mal,
Oh Johnny ma cabrille.
It also needs to be added that Boozoo sang in creole french which, unlike Beau Jocques French was often "broken" so his lyrics often made little sense... As it's the case with other creole languages the Louisiana French Creole is spoken language but without standardised writing so many zydeco lyrics are written and spelled differently... Here Boozoo is clearly singing about male goat but should it be spelled "cabrille" or "cabri" and what does "ma" means, is it perhaps "male cabri" or is "ma" as with french for "mine"... will remain a mistery :-)
"Cabri" is the standard french word for a small (young) male goat.
