Hot off his recent Billboard cover story, Burna Boy hit the stage of the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday (May 15) night to close out the 2022 Billboard Music Awards.

Wearing a stylishly flayed black suit jacket and shorts, the Nigerian singer delivered his new single, the Toni Braxton-sampling “Last Last,” and the dub-flavored, laid-back single “Kilometre” from 2021. The Grammy winner confidently strutted and danced around the stage, giving a high-energy, upbeat finish to the BBMAs.

Burna Boy’s stop at the BBMAs came just a few weeks after his headlining gig at Madison Square Garden, where he earned the distinction of being the first Nigerian artist to top the bill at the massive arena. Since releasing Twice as Tall in 2020, he’s collaborated on new material with Polo G, Angélique Kidjo, and Wizkid, in addition to releasing a few other solo singles. He announced Love, Damini at the end of April, sharing “Last Last” two weeks later.
