Description
Pianist Carlos Federico lit up the San Francisco Bay Area in the 1950s with a mambo quintet that had dancers spinning. His compositions were recorded by George Shearing, Malo, Chepito Areas, Ritmo 74 and others. He passed away in 1996 and this album stands as the only example of him playing his own music in his own style. The cast includes Carlos Federico (piano), Nerio DeGracia (vibes), Teddy Strong (Congas/Batas), David Frazier (bongo/batas), and David Belove (bass). This album was recorded in 1985.
