Hi guys! I'm back with another improv belly dance practice to La Bicicleta by Shakira. The song is Carlos Vives, Shakira - La Bicicleta. Shakira belly dancing is one of my favs. She's not a professional belly dance and has never claimed to be. She represents her family's roots in her dancing and music videos. She has Lebanese and Colombian heritage and she's not afraid to explore her roots by showcasing some culture in her songs and dancing. This is one of many reasons Shakira is an inspiration to me. My first intro to belly dance was her Hips Don't Lie music video. I was in AWE! 😍 It wasn't until many years later that I first took a belly dance class at my university.
