Takiyya Sulaymaniyya built in Damascus (Şam) between 1554 and 1559 by Ottoman architect Sinan built between 1554 and 1559 on the orders of Sultan Süleyman I (hence the name of the takiyya Sulaymaniyya), and according to the plans of the famous architect Sinan. It includes a mosque and a canteen. The cemetery contains the tomb of the last Ottoman sultan, Mehmed VI, who died after being exiled by the Republic of Turkey. There are also the tombs of Princes Ahmed Nihad Mehmed Abid and Seyfeddin Osmanoglu.
