Description
This performance was found among segments that were captured during a soundcheck in preparation for their concert at the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts in Chicago.
The tune is “Dreamsville,” written by Henri Mancini, beautifully and expertly arranged for the recording by Alex Brown.
Founded in 1978, the Chicago Jazz Orchestra, under the direction and leadership of Jeff Lindbergh, is Chicago’s longest continuously running big band in the city. Over the decades, the CJO has collaborated with special guests, from Quincy Jones, to Stevie Wonder, to Clark Terry, and now Bobby Broom on their album in tribute to the great jazz guitarist Wes Montgomery, More Amor.
