Welcome to a trip to 1972 where Chris Colepaugh has re-recorded the Canadiana staple “Some Sing, Some Dance” by Michel Pagliaro in a classic rock vibe.

When asked about why he chose this particular song as part of his song-a-month release for 2019, Chris explained, “It’s a killer song that I’ve loved since I was a kid and wanted to bring it back for people to listen to and discover. I put a bit of my fingerprint on it, made it a little heavier, and brought it into the style that I’ve been playing.”

Colepaugh’s version hums along with crunchy guitars and solid harmonies reminiscent of arena rock glory. And it was only recently that Chris got to see Michel perform the song live. “I’ve always been a fan, and a few summers ago, I got to do a gig where he was on the bill. He was playing acoustically, and the setlist was hit after hit after hit. He was a real sweetheart of a man … and he’s still got it.”

This release marks song number ten for Chris’s 12-month song release.
