Christmas time is here – Behind the track!

In Early September 2024 Kathryn Wescomb joined TikTok as a new Artist, Singer, Songwriter, Lyricist and Producer to re-ignite her career in music after 20 years. Through a conversation with a TikTok creator in early October 2024, Kathryn decided to re-write, and produce this track of which was originally a Pringle company Christmas Jingle competition entry that she created in 2003. Kathryn decided that this song deserved to be something truly magical, and with the help of her 12-year-old son Charlie she re-wrote the lyrics to support people with their mental health at Christmas whilst raising money for mental health charities in the process. The chosen charities for this song are Young Minds UK and Music minds matter (links and information below).
Over the course of 8 weeks Kathryn has managed to gather a singer she has known personally for 22 years, along with independent artists from all over the UK though TikTok’s platform to be a part of this track. Working remotely in her very basic home studio, Kathryn has spent the time teaching and guiding some of the performers how to record and send vocal recordings to her, to add to the track. Kathryn edited the vocals, produced the track and then handed it over to DJ/Producer Mark Allan to support with finalising the track, Kathryn then made any final edits before release.

BritStars Unite – Bringing UK talent together for charity.
BritStars Unite is a developing record label and community. It was created through the making of this song. BrightStars Unite currently consist of the independent artists featuring on this track who have collaborated to help to raise money for charity through their love of singing, rapping and music. Over time, more musicians, artists, creators, and performers throughout the UK will be invited to join BritStars Unite, of whom will continue to collaborate in raising money for UK charitable causes in the future. Using individual, group knowledge and skills People who join BritStars Unite will help create a wide range of music and video tracks. Britstars Unite will also provide music events online and in person for future fundraising events.
