Description
This tv take on the Western film classic ran for two short seasons on CBS starting in 1998. If online reviews are representative Western fans were divided: most liked the show and its cast, others thought the writing too 'PC'. At least producers had the good sense not to replace Elmer Bernstein's iconic theme from the original movie. Too bad it sounds kind of cheesy here, with an unimpressive 'synth' sound to it. Surprising that a CBS primetime Western couldn't spring for 90 seconds of music with a real orchestra.
