Description
California Lutheran University student Daniel Martinez, trumpet, is featured as soloist in this performance of the first movement (Allegro moderato) of Oskar Böhme’s “Trumpet Concerto in F Minor, Op. 18.” He performs with members of the CLU String Symphony and Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Michael Hart.
Originally from Mount Vernon, Washington, Daniel Ivan Martinez is a Music Performance major at CLU who specializes in Mariachi, Classical, and Jazz. An accomplished musician and performer, he has led mariachi ensembles, participated in professional recording sessions in Los Angeles, and appeared in the Netflix film Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F.
Recorded live on March 27, 2025, in Samuelson Chapel at California Lutheran University as part of Orchestral Vignettes: Student Soloists in the Spotlight, a concert celebrating the winners of CLU’s first Symphony Orchestra Solo Competition.
