Description
"Crabbuckit" is a single by Canadian hip hop musician k-os, released in 2004 as the first single from his album Joyful Rebellion. The title and work refers to the crab in the bucket syndrome where a group of crabs will pull down any crab that tries to escape, thereby ensuring their collective demise.
I heard this version and was immediately taken by it. The Good Lovelies are a Canadian folk/country harmony trio, consisting of Caroline Brooks, Kerri Ough and Sue Passmore. At their core they can be described as a country/folk trio, with tinges of pop, roots, jazz and sometimes hip-hop mixed in.
From their 2011 album 'Let The Rain Fall'. I was not aware of this harmonic trio. Love females harmonies.
A bit of distortion in parts here (apologies) as I had trouble getting a good mix over the already prominent standup bass on the recording. Might have to up the volume a bit.
