This is my reasonably straightforward edit of Tondo by Disclosure, which I made for a mix I did a while back. I’ve just slowed it down and swapped a few bits around so it worked better for the mix.
I’ve been a huge fan of Howard and Guy Lawrence more or less since they started blowing up - I saw them at Secret Garden Party way back in 2012 and was lucky enough to see them headline a large stage at Glastonbury just a few years later. Such talented guys, and they’re still churning out absolute anthems to this day.
I love what they did to Tondoho Mba by Cameroonian artist Eko Rossevelt Louis, a song that remained relatively obscure until it was released by Guts on his Straight From The Decks compilation in 2019. Disclosure’s amazing interpretation came out just a year later in 2020, on the album Energy which was released on Island Records.
