'Motions' is a song about losing yourself and falling into the daily routines of life, unable to find any restfulness or real comfort. I wrote the lyrics at a time in which I felt as though I was surviving on autopilot, and everything felt like an endless cycle of numbness. Although that cycle can feel impossible to break sometimes, it is so important to keep pushing and I'm glad I was able to. My inspiration for writing this song was the hope that it would be comforting to those who listened. Listening to music has always been such an important coping mechanism for me, and I aspire to help others through hard times the same way that my favourite musicians have helped me. -FLOOR CRY
