"Originally released in I963 on Coxsone's ND label, this is a mixture of the producer’s late r&b and early ska works.

The instrumentals variously credited to Don Drummond, Lester Sterling, Roland Alphonso and Tommy McCook most clearly show how r&b evolved gradually into ska with no hard-and-fast dividing line between them.

Historical interest aside, this is wondrous music"
