I discovered this song in late 2006. I had finished the last recordings for my album "Second Time Around". I was drinking constantly at this point in my life. I was completely unable to finish a single day sober. A dear friend gave me a version of this song to listen to, which was basically just the chorus. I took the song and played around with it. I looked up information on the song and found it had roots in Germany and was originally written for a movie, with one person composing the song and another working on the lyrics. The chorus for this song was originally composed by Ralph Siegel and the lyrics were written by Ernst Neubach.

I recorded a version of the song late one night and a bunch of friends came over who was there for a party one night. I made everyone who was at my house sing backups with me.

I released a version, but always liked this one better. I did a live show in Taylor Mill on 07/21/07 and played this song live for the first time. During this live show I brought two of my sisters up on the stage. We hadn't rehearsed the song at all and was just having fun with it.

The song left my live setlists shortly after this performance but it was always a fun song to have in my repertoire and it's even more special to have two of my sisters up there with me.
