The girl had lost everything to the warring town; parents, siblings, friends and dreams. Truly, the murk skies and blasting sounds of gunfire slowly became all that she had ever known. Her only solace was in her sleep, where the nightmares she would have, as dreadful as they were, seemed ever more lovely when compared to her current reality; as if they were the spicy-sour chocolate bombs from her father’s bonbonnière, now reduced to a bed of ashes.
Seeking peace, she is nightmelting.
