@elisetrouw has been a favourite artist for years since seeing her creative and talented mashups on YT. So what a treat to see this live at the Montreal Jazz Festival ! Ms. Trouw wowed the crowd with a set of originals and mash-ups like this one dubbed "Everlove" (i.e., a mashup of Foo Fighter's Everlong meeting Bobby Caldwell's What You Won't Do For Love).

Fun Fact - she introduced her catchy original "Make Believe" but some heard "Maple Leaf" :) ... yes, a nice nod to Canada for most, but us being a hockey-dominated culture some mumbled "Habs" ...not loud though, because we are Canadian and overall very polite, right?

After the show Elise did her "rock and roll duty" (as Kim Mitchell would say) connecting with the fans in the lobby afterward, signing autographs, chatting and taking selfies. What a trooper staying late for someone having to pack up and get off to a DC show the next day.

Here's looking forward to her next show up in the Great White North :) It's not to be missed.
