Hear it from the original. Elmore James wrote and recorded many songs considered staples today, including "The Sky Is Crying". This is his version of his song, "Look On Yonder Wall". Elmore James always played for a dance audience and gave 100% of driving music & energy to his audiences. His band, The Broomdusters, often walked away with the show from the likes of Howlin' Wolf and Muddy Waters. He passed away in 1963 just as the blues revival was starting. He had a large tour planned & many feel he would have become a known blues giant today if he had lived. We owe Mr. James for so much. Enjoy!
