Description
"Faith of Our Fathers" was composed by Henri F. Hemy and the text is by Frederick W. Faber. Faber wrote the lyrics in tribute to the Catholic martyrs during the English Reformation. The video includes images of Sts. John Fisher and Thomas More as well as St. Cecelia and my confirmation saint, Isaac Jogues.
My favorite part of the hymn is the descant by David McK. Williams. Conducted by Stephen Schmall in May 1995.
This hymn is #127 in the "Green Hymnal" (1966 Benziger Catholic Hymnal).
