"Trouble Sleep Yanga Wake Am" comes from the 1972 album 'Roforofo Fight'. The Broken English translation of "Trouble Sleep Yanga Am" literally means: toying with a loaded gun or playing with fire. In the song, Fela sings about the limit to human endurance. It is unlike any other Fela song of the era – spacey, slow-paced, with a pretty but sorrowful top line, you could call it an Afrobeat blues ballad.
