Description
Don't be confused by the "reverse" or "non reverse" labels. Thunder is the only descriptor you need for Gibson's Thunderbird Bass. If you think Gibson's bass sound only resides in the dark fuzz of EB series basses you heard in early 70's music, it's time to take a look at the Thunderbird.
The Thunderbucker pickups deliver a tone that's more similar to the sonic spectrum you hear from modern active basses. Lots of tight low-end, and a well-defined attack, along with a slight midrange scoop that allows guitar and vocals to coexist with a strong bass line.
Cory's a long-time Precision lover, but he raves over the gorgeous tones of Gibson's original long-scale bass. Check it out!
