GIGLIOLA CINQUETTI: As seen on German TV on the official preview for EUROVISION 74 in Brighton UK. This was Gigliola's second time representing her country with the magnificent ballad "SI" written by her main team of song writers and directed and arranged by Maestro Franco Monaldi who did the honors 10 years earlier with the unforgettable "Non ho l'età". "SI" finished second after the winner 'Waterloo" by ABBA, It remains one of the most beautiful and successful songs of Gigliola's repertoire.

A strange fact about Gigliola's second EUROVISION participation is that RAI censured the broadcast and did not play any film of her performance for a month. The reason given was that "SI" could influence a referendum that was taking place in Italy at the time. So, while the rest of Europe enjoyed and applauded Gigliola, Italians could not.
