Description
'Gypsy Dave' is Woody Guthrie'stake on an old English folk song in which a wealthy woman runs off with a beggar, and in some versions he turns out, naturally, to be a prince. 'Come give to me your lily-white hand' is the obvious line where I have bungled it, it's easy to hear. Recorded on Christmas Eve 2010, with the sounds of my dog Tristan knocking something over in the background. The trusty Taylor guitar is tuned to open C tuning.
