Hank Mobley might be one of my favourite jazz saxophone players - like ever. As a composer, as well as a performer, Hank Mobley was just incredible. Despite being in and around some of the most important stages of jazz - Bebop, The Jazz Messengers, Hard Bop, Miles Davis, Soul Jazz and more - Mobley often doesn't get his due.

I'm Tim Beau Bennett, and I'm making videos about jazz history. Sometimes I talk about jazz musicians, sometimes the songs, and sometimes about genres. I play jazz guitar, though I would call myself a keen amateur, rather than a professional.
