Description

I play a harp music instrumental, The Rosebud of Allenvale, a slow air written by James Scott Skinner (1843-1927, Scotland); aka: Rose of Sharon, Roses of Ava Moore, Rose of Avonmore, Roses of Ever Moore, etc. Skinner dedicated it to his cousin Jessie MacDonald, wife of James MacDonald. Instead of playing it in a 3/4 time signature as a waltz, I hoped to play it like an air. In the Mid-West USA this tune (known by its alternate titles) is played as a waltz at dance tempo. That's Ciaran, my dog relaxing near the harp; he likes to be wherever music is happening.
