This was captured from the 78 record that is part of the soundtrack album of "Meet Me in St. Louis" from 1944. This wonderful version of the song from the movie with the original lyrics is hard to beat and became one of the most loved Christmas songs of all time. When you hear the young Judy Garland sing this song about Christmas it brings home what the season is all about.

Later Frank Sinatra recorded the song with difference lyrics and that is now what most people use when the song is sung. I don't really understand what was wrong with the original lyrics (perhaps a bit too much as part of the movie plot), but both add that Christmas nostalgic feeling for family and home that we all love during the holidays.
