Notes:
This song is from Hudson Westbrook, a promising newcomer to the country scene. It's really a blend of old-school soul with country, and it works well, especially with its particularly well-crafted lyric.
The chords are easy enough for both guitar and ukulele, with the exception of the F#dim ("F-sharp diminished", though it's really a Gdim when we account for the capo). And that chord is actually not hard - just a tad unfamiliar to newer players. By the way, you could take that same chord shape and slide it up or down the neck by any multiple of three frets (on either instrument!), and it's the same chord - so you can play around with that just for fun. We'll skip the music theory lesson that explains why that is, but if you want to know, ask in the comments!
The one thing to be careful of on the guitar, is that diminished chord - you MUST MUTE the two lowest strings - they have no business being heard in that chord! (This is not relevant on the uke, because those pesky strings don't exist on it.)
There's not much to point out beyond that, but do watch out for the two bars of rest in bars 57 and 58. The arrangement has just solo vocal in that section, but if you wanted to play a chord under your own voice, use a G shape (which the capo turns into a G#). The same applies to the very last bar, which also isolates the vocal (but you don't have to).
This one is an old-school-style winner - ENJOY!
