Description
To prepare a lye solution for the cold process soap making technique.
1) First always wear your PPE ( personal protective equipment) - like gloves, mask and googles
2) Work in a well ventilated place
3) Always add lye ( NaOH) to the water not the opposite side.
4) Add the lye slowly and mix well
5) After the lye solution is prepared strain and add to the oils.
Note - Don't use any aluminium containers
if any lye spills in your hand immediately wash with tap water and seek medical attention.
Lye is caustic in nature so handle with care and proper PPE.
