Picture this! You are in the middle of the desert! You don’t see anything but dry dunes, no clouds and a lot of cactuses 🌵. So the only reasonable thing to do! Eat the cactus

Ever wondered how to prepare a cactus, or how to even eat it! Well this is the video for you!

Today, you have to de-spike the cactus. Because if it wasn’t obvious enough. The spikes can hurt you , especially your throat!

Get a knife and start scratching away at the cactus’ spikes. Next, slip it on the other side and repeat. Cut around the edges. I cut mines in the intent as a veggie patty 😎. Then chop off the “stem” or end part of the cactus.

Most cultures use cactus as a mixture or garnish. Like eating green tortillas, green nachos or as pickled veggies.

I air fried mines because I like air frying. In some butter salt and pepper.

I took the well deserved bite and to my surprise it was like a soggy-cucumber- like pickle.
