I met her on SE Hawthorne in Portland just as golden hour lit the street in that soft, forgiving way. We ended up doing an impromptu portrait session, but it quickly turned into something more.

She opened up about her depression. About what’s hard, and what helps — even if just for a moment. There was no performance. Just honesty, a bit of golden hour sunlight, and a real conversation on the side of the street.
