This is a 1 million year timelapse of the constellation Orion and Mount Everest. We tend to think of the Universe, the galaxy, the stars and even the mountains as being static, but the reality is everything changes. I put this video together because I wanted to see how Orion changes over time myself! It fascinated me to render the simulation and see that some stars zip along like rockets if you have the patience to hang around for a million years.
