Very closely mimicking the original bass part... an honour to do so. Made considerable progress since 1979, when I tried this the first time at home with a cheapo Japanese bass and old Vox amp :).
Music Man Sabre '79, flatwounds, bridge pickup, tone and bass about middle setting.
Recorded to mixing console, then to laptop Mic In. No additional pre- or post-processing (no EQ, no limiter, no compression, no pre-amp, no amp etc.) - yeah, I know you youngsters have no idea what I'm talking about here :)
