This is the second tutorial of Ieva's polka lyrics in Finnish. It contains the second verse of the song. Translations are not exhaustive, but give a rough idea of the meaning of the lines. The text is written in dialect, so there are words that can't be translated unambiguously. But I hope you get the idea of the story, which is told in a humorous and down to earth style.
VERSE 2 – translation of the story:
Ieva was smiling widely as the people wished her good luck. (I'm not sure why they wished her luck. :-)) Everybody was sweating (because they danced so much) and the fiddler had his violin howling and whining. The lad says: "I don't mind for sweating when I'm dancing around the floor." Then comes again the chorus which doesn't mean anything except the last word would be something like slowly or little by little.
5:30 The whole verse
